Platform
I believe we have a truly sacred responsibility to work towards making your lives a bit easier and more enjoyable at the minimum. I'm committed to pushing a platform that focuses on your say and input, while tackling the larger topics of interest in our community. Learn more on what I stand for below.
Student Focused
Every person deserves to have a fair say and an even chance to make an impact on the future of this campus and council. I believe we have to prioritize that by adding new ways to add your voice to the conversation and providing greater transparency by:
-Having an Open Door Policy for General Meetings
-Expanding Meeting Locations to Public Grounds
-Hosting Hybrid Meetings for Greater Accessibility on Zoom
-Having a Flex Meeting Schedule
-Promoting Greater Public Outreach Trough Office Hours in New Locations and More Times
-Providing Consistent Meeting Recaps
-Increasing Means of Receiving Student Input Throughout the Term
-Holding State of Council Addresses During the Term
Internal Support
Empowering those within our council to do their best work is crucial, so that we all can reap the rewards of a better year of traditions and new events. I believe we can protect our current traditions and expand towards new events in the coming year by:
-Running Workshops Early and Consistently Throughout the Term to Provide our Members a Clear Vision on how They Can Best Support You
-Advocate Towards New Social Events to be Held in Sixth College
-Utilize Untapped AS Grant Funding to Fund Expansion of Current Event
Structure
-Fully Reimplement the Structure of Roberts Rules to Create an Efficient Environment for Meetings
-Utilize 7 Years of Experience to Personally Support Reps, Advocates, and Senators in Doing Their Best Work
Coalition Building
I'll work to build on the coalitions with the other seven colleges, and AS, to advance and advocate on behalf of our larger interests in Sixth College. We have a voice, and we have agency, but we have to stand up and use it, and I'll do so both in Sixth, and through the coalitions we're building across campus by:
-Building Upon Current Efforts with the Other Seven Colleges and AS
-Expanding on Efforts Towards Initiatives such as Providing Additional ICE kits to Support our Students
-Advocating Towards Opening up Sixth Market 24 hours, being Next in Line for the Policy
-Advocating Towards Expand S Parking Spots in our own Sixth Parking Structure
-Advocating Towards a Limit on Price Gouging in our Sixth Market
